Aldiron Plaza

Aldiron Plaza is the first modern Indonesian shopping center located in Blok M in South Jakarta. Constructed in 1975, it was a retail destination that solidified Blok M as one of Jakarta’s major shopping points. It had more than 100,000-square-feet space over five floors, with modern amenities including basement parking and air-conditioning.

Aldiron Plaza was known to house high-end fashion and watch brands, and was recognizable through the expansive and protruding top floor. In the year 2000s, the revamp of the district had the building torn down and merged together with the Matahari Blok M to create the now-standing Blok M Square.

Aldiron Plaza is the first shopping center in Indonesia with shops such as Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Kodak.
